Introducing Crypto.com Travel, Crypto.com's In-App Travel and Entertainment Booking Experience Powered By Bookit

Crypto.com's in-app travel booking platform, Crypto.com Travel, expands rewards for Level Up subscribers, offering up to 35% cashback in CRO and additional incentives across 1 million+ global listings and 20 million tickets, marking a significant integration of travel and cryptocurrency rewards. The platform leverages Bookit's inventory to streamline booking experiences. This move further blurs the lines between fintech and travel services.

Crypto.com has launched Crypto.com Travel, an in-app travel and entertainment booking platform powered by Bookit. The service is available to eligible Level Up subscribers and offers cashback rewards in CRO tokens on bookings for hotels, flights, cruises, car rentals, and live experiences.

What it does

Crypto.com Travel integrates Bookit's global distribution network, providing access to over one million listings and twenty million tickets. Users can book accommodations, flights, cruises, rentals, and experiences directly within the Crypto.com App. Rewards are issued in CRO tokens after booking confirmation, with the percentage depending on the user's Level Up tier.

Rewards structure

  • Basic Tier: up to 5% rebate in CRO
  • Higher Level Up tiers (Plus, Pro, Private): up to 35% back in CRO on eligible bookings
  • Additional stacking: up to 6% extra back in CRO when paying via Crypto.com Pay, the Crypto.com Prepaid Visa Card, or the Crypto.com Visa Signature Credit Card (where available, depending on tier)

Rewards are credited based on booking policies, not complex point systems or blackout dates. Instant CRO rewards are issued following booking confirmation, subject to booking type, eligibility, and applicable terms.

Availability

Crypto.com Travel is accessible within the Crypto.com App for eligible Level Up subscribers in eligible jurisdictions. The Basic tier does not require a subscription or CRO lockup/staking. Plus, Pro, and Private tiers require a Level Up subscription or CRO lockup/staking for 12 months from Crypto.com Visa Credit Card account opening.

Tradeoffs

  • Rewards are denominated in CRO, a cryptocurrency whose value fluctuates. Crypto.com calculates the CRO amount based on the current market rate at the time of purchase.
  • The service is limited to eligible jurisdictions and Level Up subscribers.
  • Rewards terms may change at Crypto.com's sole discretion.
  • The platform offers refundable and pay-at-stay options, but reward timing aligns with specific booking policies.

Bottom line

Crypto.com Travel adds a real-world utility layer to the Level Up rewards program, letting users earn crypto cashback on everyday travel bookings. The integration with Bookit provides a large inventory, and the tiered reward structure incentivizes higher engagement. Whether the CRO rewards hold value depends on market conditions, but the service itself is a straightforward booking tool with a crypto twist.
